Hip Hop
Our curriculum allows students to develop musicality and coordination through fun high-energy, fast-paced classes. Students will see an increase in their stamina, flexibility, footwork, knowledge of body mechanics, and rhythm. They will also work to memorize choreography and to learn the art of self-expression and creativity in dance as a performing art.
Please have your student wear clean clothing in which they can comfortably move throughout class. Shorts are discouraged while baggy clothing is welcome! Please ensure clothing does not display anything offensive or inappropriate.
All levels of hip hop are required to wear a comfortable, supportive pair of sneakers. To avoid injury, please ensure they are properly fitted. To protect our dance floors and the dancewear of our students, footwear should be put on in the lobby before class. Dance shoes are not permitted to be worn outside.
Please note: Dance attire is very important! However, we are most concerned with the wellbeing and comfort of our dancers, so if a student has any concerns about the required attire and/or any sensory issues that would conflict with our dress code, please reach out to Miss Grey so we can discuss a solution.
